BUSINESS CODE OF ETHICS

At Acuity Care Services, LLC, we understand and accept our responsibility to make available competent nurses to provide the utmost quality care, to respect the dignity and well being of our patients, to always act in accordance with our values and to comply with all laws and regulations. Acuity’s mission calls on each of us to share our passion for improving quality of life through cutting-edge healthcare. Healthcare laws and regulations change, and situations involving ethics can be perplexing. While our dedication and our responsibilities are clear, sometimes it is problematic to know what to do in certain situations.We have created our Code of Conduct and Business Ethics for this purpose.

Acuity Care Services, LLC is always open to improvement in every opportunity. When you express your opinion to clarify a policy or to report questionable conduct, you are in turn protecting your patients, the interests of colleagues and the reputation of Acuity Care Services, LLC.

Acuity Care Services, LLC requires all employees who have knowledge of any suspected abuse, neglect, mistreatment or misappropriation, or who have reasonable suspicion that a crime has been committed, to report the incident, consistent with the requirements of both federal and state laws, within the company and to the appropriate outside agencies. If you experience or witness conduct you believe, in good faith, is contrary to the Code of Conduct, the law or company policy, you have an obligation to report your concerns.

If you are an employee you are expected to meet the following responsibilities:

Make sure to always act in a ethical, honest and professional manner when acting on behalf of the company.

Familiarize yourself with the information contained in this Code as well as applicable laws and with Acuity’s policies. Comply to the policies that pertain to your job responsibilities.

Complete all required ethics and compliance training in a timely manner and apply it in your job tasks every day.
Keep up-to-date on current expectations and standards.
Promptly report concerns about any violations of laws or regulations.
Cooperate and always tell the whole truth when responding to an audit or investigations.
Employees that require a current certification and/or license are responsible to maintain current certification and/or licensure and must provide that information to Acuity in an immediate manner. Not maintaining current certification and/or licensure is a VIOLATION and an employee may be subject to DISCIPLINE under our policies.
Maintain accurate and complete records at all times and never falsify or corrupt records in response to any investigation, or when an investigation is anticipated.
Adhere to the Code of Conduct and Core Values.
Notify the Acuity Care Services, LLC management team immediately if convicted of criminal conduct, excluded or prohibited from participating in a federally funded program

Harassment is defined as any unwanted behavior which a person finds intimidating, upsetting or offensive. Conduct involving harassment of any employee is unacceptable and will be reported to the management team at Acuity Care Services, LLC.

Do not return allegations for any staff member or any unusual events or sentinel events will be investigated both from the employee and the hospital perspectives and information will be transmitted to the employee or to the client as indicated. Clients and Staff can expect that the Company will give due consideration to suggestions and will provide a considered and objective review of palpable concerns and complaints.

If there is a conflict, or a potential conflict, please notify the Acuity care Services, LLC team immediately. Every employee has a duty to avoid business, financial or other direct or indirect interests which conflict with the interests of the company. This also applies to activities that have the appearance of a conflict.

In the case of an emergency situation with a healthcare client or provider, there is a number available 24 hours at Acuity Care Services, LLC to let us know the nature of the emergency and for further communications to resolution of the problem.

Safety and Health controls are a major concern of every day at work.
Acuity Care Services, LLC will and does comply with all safety and health regulations which apply to the scope of health facilities for all of the employees.
Employees are responsible for following safe work practices at all facilities including, but not limited to, infection control, bloodborne pathogens and accident and injury prevention.
Prompt reporting of all safety concerns is mandatory for appropriate intervention.
Safety is a team effort.
All employees will follow all the rules and regulations, policies and procedures, and safety and OSHA programs of each facility. For any conflict or potential conflict, please notify the Acuity Care Services, LLC management team.
